Founded and led by Mary Hashem and Stuart Miner, RE | Solutions capitalizes on the team’s 30+ years of experience in brownfield redevelopment. With projects in locations ranging from Colorado to New Jersey to California, Mary and Stuart have tackled complex redevelopment projects as large as 600 acres. These projects demonstrate a common thread: they are successful, profitable projects completed despite a range of challenges. Mary has over 30 years of business experience in real estate, consulting and risk management. Her career has focused on the acquisition, repositioning, redevelopment and divestiture of commercial and industrial infill properties, including distressed assets with significant financial and environmental challenges.
Ms. Hashem was formerly an Executive Vice President of EnviroFinance Group, LLC, where she was responsible for the environmental risk management, compliance and project execution of the company’s assets in New York, New Jersey, California and Denver. This included identification and underwriting of acquisition opportunities; management of the due diligence and acquisition process; negotiation of purchase and sale terms; development of remedial approaches and cost estimates; negotiation with state and local regulatory agencies; underwriting various liabilities; structuring risk management programs for acquired properties; and managing property restoration, including environmental remediation, building abatement and demolition.
Ms. Hashem joined EnviroFinance Group in 2011 as a result of its merger with Brownfield
Partners, LLC (BP), a company she co-founded in 2003. At Brownfield Partners (BP), Ms. Hashem directed the company’s environmental and risk management services business.
Stuart has more than 30 years experience in both real estate development and environmental management with unique expertise in structuring property transactions to isolate environmental liability and manage risk.
Mr. Miner was formerly President of EnviroFinance Group, responsible for managing EFG’s property acquisition and redevelopment business. As President of EFG, Mr. Miner managed a team of financial analysts, planners, consultants and contractors to effectively acquire and redevelop complex, urban infill properties in selected markets across the United States. Mr. Miner became President of EnviroFinance Group in 2011 as a result of its merger with
Brownfield Partners, LLC, and a company he co-founded in 2003. At Brownfield Partners (BP), Mr. Miner directed the company’s development and advisory services business. While with BP, the company completed a number of highly complex redevelopment projects in major urban centers in collaboration with local redevelopment and renewal authorities using a wide range of public financing and public/private partnership structures.
Prior to founding Brownfield Partners, Mr. Miner was a co-founder of The LandBank Group, Inc., and served as LandBank’s Executive Vice President. LandBank was one of the earliest entrants in the Brownfields redevelopment business, pioneering and providing proof of concept that transfer of environmental liabilities, secured by insurance and redevelopment/recycling of contaminated properties was viable and profitable.
Will has over 15 years of experience in a broad range of business environments. During his career, he has worked in a variety of real estate development roles, helped start two successful small businesses and managed a commercial real estate portfolio for a Fortune 200 corporation.
Mr. Lansche joined RE | Solutions in Spring of 2017 upon completion of his role as Project Manager for EnviroFinance Group’s projects in Denver, New York and New Jersey. In addition to overseeing the environmental remediation, entitlement and construction of civil infrastructure improvements of several multi-million-dollar brownfield projects, he was also responsible for standardizing the company’s project management, underwriting and due diligence processes for potential acquisitions.
Prior to EFG, he managed a collection of over 200 commercial properties across the country, supervised the development of several office, warehouse and retail projects in Georgia, Texas and Arkansas, and directed the business operations of a boutique commercial real estate law firm in South Carolina and a prototype restaurant franchise in Atlanta.
He earned both a BS and a BA degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder and an MBA in Real Estate, Operations and Risk Management from the Terry School of Business at the University of Georgia.
Kate is a planner specializing in the entitlements process, site design, and community development and engagement. During her career, she has worked with over 30 municipalities in Texas, Colorado, and California. Previous projects range from designing and entitling one acre commercial sites to creating master plans for communities. Kate joined RES in May of 2017 as a summer associate, but quickly became responsible for the entitlements process for a 157 acre landfill site in Carson, California, in addition to coordinating the CEQA process and community engagement efforts.
Prior to joining RES, Kate worked as a land planner specializing in entitlements and site design for a civil engineering firm in the Dallas, Texas area. Most recently, she worked for the Colorado Center for Community Development, providing planning and design services to rural towns in Colorado.
Kate graduated with a BA in International Studies with minors in Urban & Regional Planning and Art & Architectural History from Texas A&M University. She is currently earning her Masterâ€™s in Urban & Regional Planning from the University of Colorado Denver.
Linda joined RE | Solutions in January, 2016 and brings over twenty-five years’ experience in project administration. She has seven years’ experience working directly in the environmental real estate and brownfield industry. This experience included computer and networking support, updating project schedules, organizing travel and meetings, maintaining websites, trade show coordination and preparing marketing materials.
